 23.06.2020: Gamchi glacier: What next?
Since 2010 we have visited the Gamchi Glacier at least once a year. In 2010, despite our knowledge of advancing global warming, we did not expect the Gamchi Glacier to lose so much ice by 2020. In this story we try to outline how the situation on the Gamchi Glacier could develop in the coming years.

 25.04.2020: Ice and rock slides on the Stein glacier
According to the Office for Natural Hazards of the Canton of Bern, three major rock and ice slides fell on the Steigletscher on 17.11.2019, 21.2.2020 and 25.4.2020. According to our information, no people were harmed.

 14.09.2017: Story of Tiefen Glacier: Tongue has lost contact with the glacier
The tongue of the Tiefen Glacier (Urserental, Furka area, Swiss alps) lost contact with the glacier in summer 2017. What remains is a quite large mass of dead ice, which will melt in the next few years.
