On 23. August 2024, we made the following observations in the Blüemlisalp/Blüemlisalp glacier, Fründehorn and Bütlassa area, among others:

Another part of the steeply sloping ice has broken off.

The western tongue has consisted of two parts for a long time. A kind of trench has formed between the two parts, which extends further and further up.

The firn fields on the summit flank have become even smaller since 2023 and have practically disappeared completely. This is despite the snowy winter of 2023/2024.
