On 20.9.2022, we made the following observations on the Great Aletsch Glacier, among others:

Legend:
- Blue dots: The Great Aletsch Glacier reached this height on 5.9.2010.
- Red dots: The Great Aletsch Glacier reached this height on 5.8.2018.
Between the level of 5.9.2010 (marked by the blue dots) and the situation visible in the photo there are only a little more than 12 years.

Situation at the foot of the Olmenhorn

The Great Aletsch Glacier is about 1.3km wide at this point.
