Proglacial lake
A proglacial lake is a lake that has formed after the retreat of a glacier in its forefield. E.g. in a hollow excavated by the glacier.
Normally a proglacial lake is filled with meltwater (or parts of it) from the glacier.
The outflow of a proglacial lake never occurs via glaciers..
