Supraglacial meltwater channel
Through a supraglacial meltwater channel, the water flows off the surface of the glacier. The dimension of a supraglacial meltwater channel varies from a trickle to a torrential stream, the crossing of which can be problematic. A supraglacial meltwater channel can also flow into a glacier mill formed in the ice.
