Mass balance Allalin glacier 2008 - 2024
The graph below shows the mass balance of Allalin glacier for the period from 2008 to and including 2024. We have been documenting Allalin glacier photographically since 2008.
In 2013 and 2014, the Allalin glacier slightly increased in mass. In all other years from 2008 to and including 2024, it lost mass. In 2024, the Allalin glacier - like all glaciers in the Swiss Alps - lost a large amount of mass.
